COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) is a public university in Pakistan with a main campus in Islamabad and a network of other campuses across the country. Founded in 1998 as the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, it is a federal government institution operating under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

    : The principal campus established in 1998.

    : Established in 2001.

    : Established in 2001.

    : Established in 2002.

    : A virtual campus was added in 2012.

Admissions
  • Undergraduate programs: Require a minimum of 50% marks in intermediate (or equivalent) and a qualifying score on the National Testing Service (NTS) admission test.
  • Graduate programs: For MS and Ph.D. programs, CUI may accept subject tests from accredited testing bodies like NTS and HEC, with passing scores of at least 50%.

  • Renaming: Formerly known as COMSATS Institute of Information Technology before being granted university status.

Yes, University is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

There are seven campuses of CUI.
Islamabad campus, Lahore campus, Abbottabad Campus, Sahiwal Campus, Vehari Campus, Wah Campus, Attock Campus.

At the time of admission, the applicant is required to enter his/her personal data (name, father name, Date of Birth (DOB)) in accordance to his/her Secondary School Certificate (SSC) / O-Levels certificate. However, in case of any change in student name, you will be first required to get the SSC/O-Level DMC / Certificate revised and submit the revised SSC/O-Level certificate to CUI for change in name.
Please note that, you need to apply for the change in name or father name or DOB well before the printing of final transcript.
In case of applying after printing of transcript / Degree, you will be required to pay the prescribed fee.
